See the restore
A report tells you how many tabs and groups came back, and names every page it could not open. You never have to wonder what is missing.
A Chrome extension for tab recovery
Your tabs, exactly as you left them.
A quiet rolling backup of every window, tab and group, restored with names and colours intact. Nothing leaves your computer.
Restore you can see
Every restore ends with a report. Anything that could not come back is named, not hidden. This is the popup after a crash, with sample data.

Three things it does well
Scrub the timeline
Move a slider through the day and watch your layout change. Pick the moment before the crash, the update or the closed window, then restore the window, the group, or everything.
Trust the health dot
The toolbar icon shows green when your backup is live, amber if it has stalled, red if storage is full. A backup that fails silently is no backup.
Also from Unlost: Unlost Text
Never lose anything you typed.
Unlost Text keeps what you write in the browser and gives it back when the page loses it. Chrome brings your text back only when you press Back. Unlost Text brings it back after everything else.
Also from Unlost: Unlost Clipboard
Never lose anything you copied.
Unlost Clipboard keeps what you copy in the browser and gives it back when the clipboard has moved on. Every item remembers the page, the address and the time it came from.
New from Unlost: Unlost Chats
Never lose an AI chat.
Unlost Chats keeps a copy of every ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini conversation you open, on your computer, with one search across all three. If a chat disappears from the site, your copy is still here.
Nothing leaves your computer
No account, no server, no analytics. Your history sits in Chrome's own local storage. Incognito windows are never captured. Unlost asks for four permissions and nothing on any website.
- tabs
- To read which tabs are open, and to open them again.
- tabGroups
- To read group names and colours, and put them back.
- storage
- To keep your history on this computer.
- alarms
- For the one-minute heartbeat that takes each backup.
